Nebo District is Saving Energy and Going Green

Nebo District is saving energy and going green. With strains on the budgets and the continued growth of students, Nebo decided to research energy savings plans. Through this process, Nebo also found ways to help the environment.

Nebo School District teamed up with Cenergistic, which is a data driven, energy conservation company. Cenergistics spent hundreds of hours working with Nebo’s energy specialists with over 70 visits from energy consultants, data consultants, certified energy managers, and mechanical engineers.

National School Breakfast Week

Nebo School District is celebrating National School Breakfast week March 3 - 7. Mayor Steve Leifson will  join the students at Rees Elementary on Monday, March 3, at 8:15 to 9:30 a.m. for breakfast and read the official proclamation to open the week's events. The 2014 theme for this annual event is "Take Time for School Breakfast". Throughout the week Nebo has numerous activities including prize giveaways in the school cafeterias for a school and district-wide art contest. The Nebo School District encourages families and students to participate in our school breakfast and lunch programs.

Spanish Fork Junior presents to Nebo School Board--Answer to Wednesday's Challenge

Spanish Fork Junior High's Jazz Band under the direction of Matthew Wendell

Spanish Fork Junior presented to the Nebo School Board of Education. As part of the presentation, Principal Robert Fleming mentioned the school’s mascot is the Lobos which is wolf in Spanish and Portuguese. The school slogan is “Back the Pack.” This slogan supports the school’s effort to help and lift all students.

Oakridge School's Second Annual Live Auction

Oakridge School, for children with special needs, will be having their Second Annual Live Auction Fundraiser on Monday, March 17, 2014. The event is being held at Springville High School Cafeteria.  The doors open at 5:00 p.m. for dinner, bake sale, and item preview.

Bring your “green” and support these wonderful children.

National School Breakfast Week Art Contest

National School Breakfast Week Art Contest

Nebo School district is celebrating National School Breakfast Week beginning March 3 through March 7. The 2014 theme for this annual event is “Take Time for School Breakfast,” and we do hope your student will “take time” to come and eat with us! We will be holding a National School Breakfast Week art contest. Your student can enter this art contest at their local school to win a prize and be submitted to the district-wide art contest. There will be one winner from each school that win a prize and then four winners at the district level who will win bicycles.

Compelling Evening of Fine Choral Music March 1

This Saturday, March 1, the inaugural Nebo Honor Choir will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the MMHS Auditorium. Free admission.

All five Nebo High Schools are participating in this collaborative choral concert, comprised of the chamber choirs (most advanced singers throughout the district.)
The choir is under the renowned direction of Dr. Ronald Staheli, Director of Choral Studies at BYU!

Suzanne Kimball–Coordinator of Employee Support

Suzanne Kimball–Coordinator of Employee Support
The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Suzanne Kimball as the Coordinator of Employee Support. Suzanne received her bachelor’s degree in English from Brigham Young University and a Masters in Educational Administration from Purdue University.
