The Wallace family donated funds to the Nebo Youth Philharmonic program through the Nebo Education Foundation in remembrance of Madison Wallace.

THE PEAK AWARD CUSTOMER SERVICE PROGRAM
Nebo School District wants to showcase our Positive Energy and Kind employees. PEAK Awards are nominated by patrons and recognized by the Superintendent Staff and Nebo School Board of Education. The award is administered by the Communications and Community Relations Department.
Nebo Education Foundation board members meet each month to review and award grant requests, consider fund-raising avenues, and other items that advance the educational opportunities for Nebo School District students. The Nebo Education Foundation functions through generous donations made by individuals and businesses.
Congratulations to the following teachers that continue to inspire the minds of students.
This coming year marks Nu Skin’s 30th anniversary. In commemoration of this significant milestone, Nu Skin wants to continue to strengthen their relationships with the local schools in appreciation for their important work to educate the community's children. It is in this spirit that Nu Skin announced the Nu Skin 2013-2014 Academic Grant Program.
Miss Julie Hammari, sixth-grade teacher at East Meadows Elementary, is the recipient of the prestigious 2012 Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching.
Miss Hammari will receive a $10,000 award from the National Science Foundation to be used at her discretion. She is also invited to Washington, DC, for an awards ceremony and several days of educational and celebratory events, including visits with members of Congress and the Administration.
Park students were delighted to hear from Superintendent Rick Nielsen at their Victory Assembly for 61 leaders from Park Elementary. Superintendent Nielsen shared stories from his days as a “Park Panther.” He served on the student council and could be found racing cars down the ramp in the hallway. Superintendent Nielsen shared examples of leadership and his love for the 7 Habits and the Leader in Me program.
Faces of Mali Art Exhibit at Hobble Creek Elementary
Hobble Creek Elementary in Mapleton presents, Faces of Mali, a Utah Arts & Museums Traveling Exhibition featuring photographs of village life in western Africa that opens a window for viewers into a region with a 600-year history as a center for scholarship and trade.
Faces of Mali will be exhibited at Hobble Creek Elementary from January 7 through February 7.
