Seminar by Dr. Adam Schweback “Right Brain! Left Brain! Hey, What About the Front Brain?”

Nebo School District counselors present Dr. Adam Schweback, Director of Neuropsychology Center of Utah. His topic is “Right Brain! Left Brain! Hey, What About the Front Brain?” It will be held March 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Spanish Fork High’s little theater. The cost is free. It is for all teachers and parents of students who struggle with executive functioning skills.

Student Tanner Halversen will Compete at Nationals Ceramic Exhibition

Tanner Halversen, a senior at Maple Mountain High in Nebo School District, won state honors not on one, but two ceramic art pieces. His artistic pieces were selected from over 1,100 entries and 150 will go on to compete at Nationals. Tanner will travel to Houston, Texas to compete at the National Ceramic K-12 Exhibition.

Nebo School District Sponsored District Chess Tournament

Nebo School District has sponsored a Nebo District Chess Tournament since 2006. It continues to expand each year. Organizers of the tournament, including teachers, staff, and parents, spend countless hours to provide this enrichment activity on a Saturday for students looking to expand their critical thinking skills. Once players make a decision to make a move, they must think about the consequences of that move before they actually make it.
