Rachel’s Challenge was a huge success. Students from both Springville High and Maple Mountain High had the opportunity to participate in 60 minute assemblies where they learned about Rachel Scott, the first victim of the Columbine High School shootings back on April 20, 1999. Over 100 students were then trained for 90 more minutes on the particular aspects of creating a “Chain Reaction” for good. Rachel’s Challenge provided a culminating event the evening of October 1, for a packed auditorium of parents and families for the surrounding communities.
