Landmark High School is pleased to host the Nebo School District Science Fair on Wednesday and Thursday, February 23 and 24, 2011. The Nebo Science Fair will be held in the gym of Landmark High School located at 612 South Main, Spanish Fork.
Elementary Division (Grades 5th - 6th) will be on Wednesday, February 23. Projects will be open to the public beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Junior and Senior Divisions (Grades 7th – 12th) will be on Thursday, February 24. Projects will be open to the public beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Springville Chamber of Commerce holds Awards Banquet and Installation
President Jay Knight welcomed chamber members and guests to the annual awards banquet. He introduced the new board members and officers. The meal was provided by Utah Celebrations Catering.
Judge Sherylnn Fenstermaker conducted the installation of the new Officers and Board of Directors for the year 2011.
Michael Larsen – Sierra Bonita Elementary Principal
Michael Larsen was appointed as the new Sierra Bonita Elementary Principal for Nebo School District.
Principal Alison Hansen introduced the gifted and talented program that included the Brockbank debate team. Ms. Kristel Peterson, advisor for debate, said that out of the eight awards, Brockbank won six at the district debate competition.
Chess is another favorite activity for the students at Brockbank. Ethan Oyler won first place and showed his trophy.
Karolyn Peery introduced four students that displayed their talent in art with some outstanding, artistic pictures.
Nebo School District is putting on an Elementary School Chess Tournament.

The December 21 Snow Day will NOT be made up.
Nebo School District will NOT be making up the school day that was cancelled because of the weather on December 21, 2010. Therefore, the 2010 -2011 school calendar will remain the same.
No school for students on the following dates: Washington/Lincoln Day on Monday, February 21; End of Term Friday, March 18; and Spring Break from April 11-15.
