Nebo School District is excited to announce an additional service on our website www.nebo.edu.

This new posting service on Nebo’s website is a way for employees, patrons, and vendors to post advertisements about services and/or commodities such as tutoring, piano lessons, specials on gym passes, discounts for educators, and financial planning to name a few. All offers need to be approved by Nebo School District’s operations department.

Local Principal, Dwight Liddiard, Selected to Present in Nice, France

Dwight Liddiard, principal at East Meadows Elementary, is currently serving on the Board of the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP). As part of that assignment, he was recently invited by the United States State Department Office of Overseas Schools to attend the European Council of International Schools Conference held in Nice, France.

Scholarship Honoring a Fabulous Teacher–Karen Anderson

The Nebo Education Foundation will be honoring a fabulous teacher–Karen Anderson by offering a scholarship to graduating senior students.

Hundreds of children were met each day by the captivating smile of Mrs. Karen Anderson. One of Mrs. Anderson’s greatest loves was to teach first-grade children how to read. She loved to see the "light" come on when the symbols on the page became real words and opened an entirely new world to a young mind.

Nebo School District Captain Academy

On January 6, 2011, Nebo School District held its second Captain's Academy Winter Session on leadership and sportsmanship. The Captain’s Academy is held three times a year. This event was held in the boardroom at Nebo School District and included captains from each winter sport: basketball, wrestling, and swimming; student government, drill team, cheer squad, and band across the entire district. All Nebo District High schools–Springville High, Maple Mountain High, Spanish Fork High, Salem Hills High, and Payson High were represented.
