Sixth Grade Orchestra Program

Objective: To teach each member of the class the beginning essential techniques necessary to play their respective stringed instruments well. Daily practice will assist each student to succeed. For beginning string players, 20-30 minutes 5-6 days per week is recommended.

Instrument: Violins, violas, cellos and String Basses can be rented through Summerhays Music (Orem) (801) 226-1760, Bert Murdock Music (Orem) (801) 225-7922, Mountain Rock Music (Springville) (801)489-3000, Bill Harris Music (Provo) (801) 374-1440, Charles Liu (Midvale) (801) 255-9636  or Boothe Brothers Music (Spanish Fork) (801)798-7650. Currently the district is very low on inventory so unless you’ve already talked to me about rentals, you will need to look elsewhere.

Keep your eye on KSL.com Online Classifieds or Craigslist as well. There are dozens of instruments being sold all the time, sometimes for the same price or less than a school rental. I am always on the lookout for good deals and can help you find them.
