This is the last week of term 1, we encourage parents to sit down with their students and look over their grades and attendance to see what they can do to get grades up this week. Students are encouraged to use Etime to make up missing work, work on test corrections, and understand the material better. We have fantastic teachers that are willing to work with students to help learning and achievement improve, we appreciate parent support in that as well.

We are so excited for our Read-a-Thon Fundraiser this year.  We hope your students enjoy the message that reading is fun, while at the same time earning money for our school.  Please read below for all of the information relating to our Read-a-Thon.

  • 100% OF FUNDS RAISED GOES TO PARK ELEMENTARY

  • We will use money raised to purchase technology for our school, create leadership opportunities for students, field trips and materials for hands on learning experiences.

  • You may make a pledge for a student NOW until November 2, 2018.

  • Students will return their pledge card each day.  The pledge will be recorded and a new card will be given to the student for additional pledges.

  • Our read-a-thon date will be November 2, 2018 from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm.

  • You can make a per minute pledge.

  •  All students will be reading for 60 minutes.

  • You can make a simple donation (pre-determined amount).

  • We encourage you to send your total pledge amount donation in with the pledge itself.

  • If you decide not to send in the money with the pledge, you will receive an email after the read-a-thon letting you know how much you owe for the 60 minutes read by your student.  You will be able to send cash/check to the school or pay online with a card at the school.

  • Please help us spread the word to extended family and friends.

  • There are a few ways to make your pledge:

  • Record your pledge on the pledge card your student brings home and put your money or check in the envelope.

  • Go to our school website, click the yellow fundraiser link and fill out the pledge card.  You can mail it to Park Elementary 90 North 600 East Spanish Fork, UT  84660.

  • All students are able participate in the read-a-thon regardless of any pledges collected.

  • If you have any questions you can email your teacher or call the school 801-798-4045.

  • WE APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT OF OUR GREAT STUDENTS & SCHOOL!

We will be getting pledges from our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends.

You will ask them to pledge money for every minute you will be reading. Everyone will read for 60 minutes during our read-a-thon.

Example Pledges:

10 cents per min = $6.00

15 cents per min = $9.00

20 cents per min = $12.00

25 cents per min = $15.00

30 cents per min = $18.00

35 cents per min = $21.00

40 cents per min = $24.00

45 cents per min = $27.00

50 cents per min = $30.00

$1.00 per min = $60.00
