Who works harder:  Santa or the elves?  These are some very opinionated second graders.  They are working on forming opinions, and supporting their opinions with reasons and examples.  We have a future debate team on our hands.

Mina Money Receives Crystal Apple Award

Wed, 12/06/2017 - 9:58am
Attributions: Heather Riding

Mina Money has been helping kindergarteners begin their school adventures for decades.  Students quickly feel comfortable in her warm and loving classroom environment.  In Mina's classroom, like many other classrooms at Canyon Elementary, students continually strive to reach their academic potential.  One place, however, where Mina truly shines is how she interacts with her students.  Mina continually reframes things in a positive light for her students.  She tells them how to be instead of what not to do.  She is also a master at helping students figure out their own problems both academically and socially.  In Mina's classroom, students learn tools they need to help them be successful in the classroom, on the playground, and in their families.
