Dear Brockbank Families!
The countdown begins! One week of summer vacation is left and one week until we have our school back to the way it should be--full of students! It's been a great summer and I hope you have been able to do some special things with family and friends!
We are so excited for this upcoming year! Mr. Clark, our great custodian, has our school sparkling clean, and our sensational teachers have been working hard to get their rooms ready for the new year! As you will see, we are getting a new Marquee, thanks to our awesome PTA, and to YOU, for sending BoxTops! We will also be getting a new flag pole and we have had a couple of Eagle Scouts, who are working to make our school beautiful and safe!
This year we are introducing a new motto and mission statement for our school! Our motto is: Bronco BEST! Rise Above the Rest! Our mission statement is, "At Brockbank We are Building a Community that Cares, Engaging in Lifelong Learning, Setting Goals for Growth and Success, and Taking Ownership for My choices!" We will be doing a lot of activities that will help us learn our new motto and mission statement this year!
This Monday, August 21st, from 4:00-6:00 pm will be our Open House! We invite you to come with your child and celebrate the BEST year ever! You are welcome to do the following:
*Meet your new child's teacher-get important info for the upcoming year
*Sign up for PTA!
*Buy a school T-shirt
*Sign up for SEP conferences (this will be done on Sign-Up Genius in your child's classroom)
*Those interested may apply for School Community Council
*Get a school magnet
*Take a look at an after school robotics program
We are excited to see you all that afternoon!
School will then begin the following day, Tuesday, August 22nd at 8:45-3:00!
Please help your child know the route he/she takes to school--bus numbers, safe walking routes, where to meet his/her ride, etc.
Also, please talk with your child about walking safely home and to stay on the sidewalks, only cross the street with a crossing guard, and to stay in groups as he/she walks home.
Thank you so much for all you do! We love your child and we look forward to a great year! Thank you for your patience through our online registration! We appreciate your cooperation and help in completing that!
Our teachers come back to school tomorrow, Wednesday, August 16th, and we will all be involved in meetings, so our office will only be opened from 2:00-4:00 pm. If you have any questions or concerns, please call during those hours, or Thursday from 8:00-1:00
Thanks for everything and enjoy this last week of summer!
Hello, Brockbank Families!
July is cruising by and I hope you have fun plans for the 24th celebration! For those students that were in 5th grade last year, you should have received an email about being in the Spanish Fork Fiesta Day's parade. Please watch for that email! We hope to see you all there!
We have had many of you begin to register your child online. We appreciate your patience with this new process, and with new processes, there are always a few glitches here and there. One glitch we have found is knowing whether to click the "new student" box or the "current student" box. If your child has attended Brockbank, you need to click the "current student" box in the registration page and not the "new student" box. It is confusing, because many of you do not have a username or password, so some of you have clicked the "new student" box to create that username and password. If you did click the "new student" box, you will be receiving an email asking you to re-register. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. Below the "current student" box is another box that will allow you to create a username and password--"Contacts with Web Access may Request a Username." This will get you on the right track and you can continue registering from there.
We appreciate your donations and hope you don't forget to make donations online; or if it is easier to come in the office and make a donation, that is great as well! The donations help our school with grade level expenses, including field trips, supplies, and activities.
An email was also sent to the parents of all the students entering 3rd grade to let you know that Mrs. Stewart will not be teaching here next year. I am in the process of hiring a new teacher and will let you know when someone has been hired. I will then have a window of time to request a 3rd grade teacher. I'm sorry for this inconvenience!
Thanks so much for your help, patience, and support for our school! It is a great place to be and I look forward to seeing all of our students soon!
Take care, and please tell your child(ren) hello for me!
Hello, Brockbank Families!
I hope you had a wonderful July 4th! It is a great time of year with lots of celebrations, fireworks, and parades!
You may have received an email from the district office about online registration. We are excited to try this and hope that it is a convenient process for you! Please know that this is new to all of us, so please be patient as you may have questions or concerns! We will try to address any issues quickly and make this process helpful for you! If you would rather not register online, please remember that we will have school registration here at Brockbank, on Aug. 1st. We will not be sending letters out for mail-in registration as we have in the past.
To register you child, you can go to this link, http://brockbank.nebo.edu/registration, or go to our school web page.
The dates to register your child are from July 5-July 31st.
Please remember to fill out ALL online forms.
As you register your child, we will make sure everything is aligned and ready to go. We will update you as to when you will be able to know who your child's teacher is.
We also encourage you to join PTA! There will be PTA Representatives at registration on Aug. 1, and at the Open House, which will be Monday, Aug. 21st. (More information will come about the Open House!) Our PTA does so many things to help our school and our children benefit from their hard work!
I also want to remind you that you may make changes for your teacher request until July 13th, for grades 1,3,5 and 6.
Take care and please let us know how we can help you!
We hope you have enjoyed a great summer so far! We are so excited to be offering online registration this year!!
To register, please click on this link and follow all the steps:
The dates to register are from July 5 to July 31, 2017.
Registration is the process of providing or verifying your student's information, and signing any documents required by the district or by legislation; this can be done online to save time. Additional documentation is also required for first-time students or if any of these additional documents have changed for a returning student; these additional documents must be delivered in person.
Your student will only be Enrolled into classes after the school verifies the completion of the Registration process and that all required documentation has been provided.
NOTE: Kindergarten students did pre-register in March; however, they still need to do online registration (to verify information and sign required documents) in order to complete the registration process.
Don't forget to support our PTA. There will be someone at the walk-in registration on Tuesday, August 1st from 8-4 pm to take membership and sell school shirts and also on the day of Open House - Monday, August 21st.
