(more pictures available)

Recently Brockbank Elementary fifth-graders held their wax museum. The students picked a famous person in American history, they did research on that person, memorizing interesting and important facts, and then they got to dress-up like that person for a day. During the day, students from other grades were able to visit the museum and learn about these famous Americans. That night there was a program so that parents and grandparents could come and see what the students had learned. It was a very fun and educational experience for all that participated.

Recently while learning about the Letter P and since pigs start with the letter P, the students put on the play, "The Three Little Pigs". Each student had the opportunity to act out a part either as the wolf or one of the three pigs. It was a fun way to learn about the letter P.

Brockbank fourth-graders went on a field trip to, This Is The Place Heritage Park. There students were able to take part in a ‘hands-on learning’ experience that complements the state curriculum for fourth-grade Utah History. Students participated in "life in Pioneer Times" which consisted of pushing a handcart. The students discovered what it was like to come West with a handcart.  They got to ride the train around the park and visit the Native American Village. The students learned about the 5 tribes that were in the Utah territory in 1847.  The Shoshone, Goshute, Paiute, Ute, and Navajo tribes all lived in this area.  They lived in caves, teepees, hogans, and wiki-ups.It was a fun field trip and the students really enjoyed it!

Tara Farr is Awarded the 2017-18 Horace Mann Crystal Apple

Mon, 11/27/2017 - 3:42pm

Mrs. Tara Farr is this year's recipient of the Horace Mann Crystal Apple Award.   Tara teaches kindergarten here at Brockbank. She and her husband live in Spanish Fork and have 2 daughters and one son. Miss Clarissa Putnam writes about Tara;

"Tara is one amazing woman! She is so selfless and always looking for ways to help others out. When I first started, I had no idea what I was doing! Tara spent endless hours with me, helping me learn how to be a teacher! I owe everything in my classroom to her sweet time dedication. Not only does she help other teachers out, she makes her classroom the perfect place for her students. She is so kind, welcoming, and understanding of each child that enters her classroom. Each child can feel of her love for them. She spends so much time and effort for the kids so that they can have a fun learning experience. I can’t think of any one more deserving of this award."

Congratulations Tara!
