School Food Drive Tailgating for Tummies

Once again, in conjunction with this year's school food drive ... we are bringing back our competition leading to the Super Bowl called “Tailgating for Tummies”. We will work to see which class can bring in the most “touchdowns”, and the grade-level with the greatest total will win the Super Bowl Tailgate Celebration.
How to get a touchdown: For every 100 items (representing 100 yards on a football field) a class will earn a "touchdown". Student Council Members will come by each morning to collect the food drive items. Our School Food Drive is: January 8, 2018 - February 2, 2018. Thank you, everyone!!!!

Reading Assembly Book Challenge
For our 1-29-18 reading assembly, we are going to see just how well Mrs. Hill and Mrs. Brown know their favorite books! Or ... do our students know the book(s) better?
- Kindergarten through 2nd grade(s) are going to go up against Mrs. Hill
- 3rd through 6th grade(s) are going up against Mrs. Brown
Mrs. Hill has picked the book They All Saw A Cat by Brendan Wenzel, and Mrs. Brown had chosen Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. Happy reading ... Let's see if we can stump Mrs. Brown and Mrs. HIll!

Keeping Our Students SAFE

* Our GOAL: To keep our students safe!
Please review our Drop OFF and Pick UP Safe School Protocol. Students are insructed to use our crosswalk(s) at all times. Thank you for NOT waving them across the street to where you may be parked.
Pick UP/Drop OFF in all three (3) school entrance(s):
All Drop OFF/Pick UP area(s) are ONE WAY ONLY: Enter from the East ... Exit from the West. Drop OFF/Pick UP zones are to: Drop OFF students and Pick UP students. Please do NOT park cars in the Drop OFF/Pick UP area(s). If you need to enter the school, you need to please park in a parking space. Thank you for pulling all the way forward in each area to keep traffic flowing.
"Walking Student" Crossing
Students walking/biking to school will turn RIGHT on the corner and walk along the east fence-line. Our Crossing Guard will be stationed on the south-east sidewalk corner. Students will cross, with the help of a teacher, in the designated/identified "crosswalk" from the fence-line, across the parking lot "crosswalk", to the south-east corner of the front of our school. Students can then go either to the back of the school (bikes, rear entrance, playground, etc.) or enter through our front automatic doors.
At the end of the day: Students who exit the front of the building to walk/bike home will cross with the teacher from the south-east corner of the front of the school, walk across the parking lot "crosswalk", and walk up the east fence-line to the Crossing Guard. They will then turn left and head safely home.
