“Mr. Wright is a positive influence on the children in his classes. He does an amazing job of preparing kids for junior high. Each SEP I have attended has been a positive and uplifting experience for myself and my child. He helps students feel confident with their abilities.”
“Mr. Wright is so awesome! I don’t know how many years he’s been teaching at Rees, but I know it’s a lot. He deserves an award because you can tell he really cares about his students and their learning. I believe he truly wants them to succeed at their highest potential and gets his students ready for junior high. You can tell he wants them to enjoy learning and has them engaged in activities that will help spark an interest. Mr. Wright has been easy to talk to, and I feel he has addressed any questions or concerns I might have had with my child. He sends home a weekly sheet with his students on what’s going on in their class that week, and that’s very helpful! Again, Mr. Wright deserves an award because he does an incredible job!”
“Mr. Wright is amazing!! He is so good at getting the kids ready for junior high. He loves each kid individually and highlights the good things they are doing. He excels in math and science and makes the kids excited about these subjects. My twins had him last year and almost every kid in their class qualified for honors math the following year. His smile is his greatest quality. It is genuine and seems to always be on his face. I highly recommend him for this award and hope you consider him.”
“Nate is a Nebo Hero. Nate is a GIANT of a man with a big heart and contagious smile. He is a role model to his students by the way he treats others and how he teaches them to respect one another. He cares deeply about the success of his students. Parents have come back to me and expressed how much they appreciate the way he prepared their students for junior high. He takes on extra duties like science fair and chess club along with any other needs in the school and does so willingly. He is involved in coaching in the community and has a huge impact on not only Rees students, but students throughout the district.”

Rees First Graders got to try their hand at programming last week. They had to input code into the robot and then test to see if their code worked. They later used those robots to find words with suffixes.
Discover the artist within your child this summer at the Spanish Fork Youth Arts Festival, June 4-15! The Youth Arts Festival is a two week creative arts experience for children ages 18 months to 18 years; that aims to engage and enrich young children through music, dance, art, literature, drama, and so much more! This unique program is the only one of its kind nationwide. The full two-week duration, as well as the large amount of classes offered and the low cost has made it a model that many city arts programs have wanted to emulate. We continue to bring a wide variety of classes offered each year. This year will include art, culinary, and dance classes for all ages, Youtheatre, gymnastics, cupcake wars, and Lego Art - all back by popular demand! We have something for everyone, including an adaptable art class for kids with special needs. The Spanish Fork Youth Arts Festival is exceptional, with professional teachers, there is something for EVERY child. Nourish your child's creativity, imagination and artistic ability through the Youth Arts Festival!

Recently Nebo School District applied to earn the Energy Star Certification. Air quality, lighting quality, and the overall Energy Use Index readings and calculations of each facility are taken into account. Nebo is pleased to announce that of 44 facilities ALL 44 earned the Energy Star Certification. With 44 Energy Star Certifications earned, Nebo School District has the most certified failities out of any organization in the state of Utah. This is an amazing feat to qualify a building in the top 75% compared to other schools in the nation. Our district average score was 99, with many buildings scoring a perfect 100!
Job well done to Nebo School District and Rees Elementary School.

We are so proud of these "Terrific Kids" from Rees. Each 6th grade class honored one girl and one boy as a Terriffic Kid. These students displayed exemplary behavior throughout the year. They have "SOAR"ed this year and we appreciate their examples and dedication. Thank you to our Kiwanis Club for this wonderful honor.
Our 1st graders have been waiting patiently to see the process of butterflies hatching, and now they have!
