Mrs. Harvey's First Graders earned a prize from Mr. Gull for their hard work during the month of December. They chose to challenge him to GoNoodle "The Ultimate Champ" to see who could last the longest. Mr. Gull did really well against the 22 students, who are now working to earn another prize. There may be a rematch forthcoming.
We have had a week packed with holiday happenings including: winter reading carnival, singing around the tree, choir performances, Christmas programs and our reading incentive awards activity. Even amid the festivities, our teachers are amazing and have wonderful, enriching activities planned for the students. Thank you to ALL who have planned, supported, and helped to make these activities successful for our wonderful students at Rees. Photos will be posted on our Facebook page, so please follow us there.
As a reminder, school will be dismissed at NOON tomorrow, the 21st. We will resume classes on January 2nd. Please have a wonderful, and safe winter break.

In fourth grade, we have been learning all about soil. This week we made an edible soil profile. The students had a great time choosing which food best represented the bedrock, subsoil, topsoil, and humus. Although, I think they enjoyed eating their soil even more!
Wondering what to make for dinner tomorrow night? Wonder no further. Take your family to Chick-Fil-A on December 5th from 5-8 pm and tell them you're from Rees Elementary. They will donate part of the proceeds back to us!! Sounds like a winner-winner-chicken dinner to me!!!
These students earned either their bronze or silver math brag tags for passing off their addition or subtraction tests at 100% in 3 minutes or less. Great work students!
The following students were named students of the month for November for showing how they S.O.A.R through their actions and hard work. Congratulations!
