Artists In Residence

There will be a showcase of the students’ art on Friday November 17th.  Students who have been studying about Dance and Storytelling will perform at 1:30 in the gym.  (Due to time restraints only a few students from each grade will be sharing their stories.  Check with your student to find out if they are performing.)

We will have all Visual Arts and Photography projects displayed in the art gallery beginning at 12:00 on Friday.  Students may take their work home on Tuesday the 21st.

This project is supported in part by the Utah Arts and Museum with funding from the State of Utah and the National Endownment for the Arts

Pumpkins are not just for carving!

We had a great Math Pumpkin activity!  We predicted, measured, weighed, and guessed how many pumpkin seeds there were in our pumpkins.  Then we counted out the number of seeds in our pumpkins by putting the seeds into groups of 10.  It is always amazing to everyone that just because a pumpkin is bigger than another, it doesn't mean that it is going to have more seeds that a smaller pumpkin.

PTA Cookie Dough Fundraiser

Mon, 11/06/2017 - 11:44am

They say cookies make the world a better place. That is why the PTA is selling cookie dough from Pizza Factory this year. This is a great fundraising opportunity with a fun, quality product, and half the funds collected going to the PTA.  The money raised helps support PTA activities and sponsored events like: Book Fair, Teacher Appreciation Day, Family Activity Night, Box Tops, Reflections, SEP dinners and more!

The cookie dough is $15 for a 3 pound tub.  The PTA is asking students to collect orders and money from family and friends (no door to door sales) in the manila envelope that was sent out.   Once the orders are received and money collected, the cookie dough will be delivered before Christmas Break.

Cash and checks are accepted.  Please make sure checks are written out to "Rees Elementary PTA".  All orders are due November 10th!

We are grateful for our PTA and the many wonderful things they do to support students and teachers.  Thank you for your support of our PTA and school!
