My name is Christy McGinnis. I grew up in Northwest Ohio but currently live in Provo, Utah with my husband. I recently graduated from Brigham Young University in Elementary Education. I completed my student teaching experience at Mt. Loafer Elementary in 5th grade and I am excited to be returning to the best school ever! This is my first year teaching and I am so excited to be fulfilling my lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. I enjoy singing, baking, reading, playing board games, going on walks, spending time with my friends and family, and (of course) teaching! I am so passionate about teaching young children and I enjoy learning from them every day. I love my 3rd graders and look forward to all of our learning adventures!
My name is Nancy Cornaby and I'm excited to be teaching at Mt. Loafer. I went to Utah State University and graduated with my bachelor’s degree in education. This is my 13th year teaching and I love it. I have taught kindergarten, first and second grades. I grew up here in Salem and still live here with my family. James and I have four children – 8 year old Nikale, 6 year old Jake, 5 year old Tate, and our Lucy is 2 months. They make life exciting! I had horses growing up so I enjoy riding and I’ve competed in a number of rodeos and horse shows. I still love riding in the mountains gathering cattle with my family. I also enjoy reading, camping and spending time with my family.

I have been married since November of 2016 to a boy that I met in 2nd grade! I am a certified yoga instructor and appreciate the peace that yoga brings into my life. I LOVE my 2nd graders!

I am from Southern California, born and raised. I love to read anything by Jane Austen, but Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte is my favorite book.
I was classically trained in opera in high school and enjoyed being a part of the choral program for 7 years. For hobbies I enjoy hiking, racquetball, watching movies, playing board games, and making my own homemade ice cream. I taught English in China for 4 months and it is what made me decide to become a teacher!
