Kindergarten Pre-registration is coming up Mar 22 from 8 am-4 pm.  You can get a jump-start by clicking on the "Registration" tab on the school website and filling out much of the paperwork online.  We will have computers on registration day if you'd rather wait and do it all in one sitting.  Whether you start early online or wait until registration day, we will still need to bring in your proof of residency, your child's birth certificate and immunization record.  It's OK if your child's immunizations aren't current, you have until school begins in August to get any needed updates.

In P.E. we did our own version of the Winter Olympics. The first game we did was the bobsled. Students were in groups of three and each sat on their own scooter. They would link themselves together with their legs. Students used their arms to push themselves around a course in the gym as fast as they could. Other students would cheer on and encourage their classmates. It was a lot of fun to participate and work together with classmates in this Olympic game!

One of the many student jobs available for students to apply for is the role of a student mentor. This job is reserved for students in upper grades, and allows them a chance to mentor a student in a younger grade. The mentors help students catch up on homework or get extra reading practice, all while building new friendships.

This year students from Springville High School are coming to our school and teaching 5th graders about robots and programming them. The students are programming finches, or little robots, to do things like move forward and backward and even spin. It is a really cool experience to learn how to do all of these cool things. They help all of the kids to learn how to make the robot move and talk. This is helping us learn and it is an amazing experience for these students. The high school students are helping our program. It is super fun.

Once in a Lifetime Opportunity

Springville High School News - Wed, 02/28/2018 - 12:49pm
Attributions: by Brandon Hawkins, FFA Officer

On Thursday, February 22, Springville High FFA members had a once in a lifetime opportunity to have a National FFA Officer, Bryce Cluff, visit us here in Utah. This only happens about once every ten years since national officers are over regions and can’t be everywhere.

We were honored to host Western Regional Vice President, Bryce Cluff, from Arizona, for a fun filled day. We began our day at Orem High school getting to know Bryce and other FFA members from around the valley. From there we made our way to Westlake High school to rub shoulders with even more members and enjoy a BBQ luncheon with our national officer and several of our Utah State FFA officers. We then made our way back to Orem high school to construct bud vases a service project. The best part came when we finished the bud vases and delivered them to TREEO, a retirement community, to give to elderly citizens. The joy on their faces made the whole experience worth it. Our day didn’t end there. Our own Springville High FFA chapter then hosted a multi-chapter activity of ice skating at the Peaks Arena in Provo. We had a great day and great experiences our Springville High FFA members will cherish.
