Nebo District Bond Survey

Maple Mountain High School News - Wed, 10/25/2017 - 8:50am

Dear Parent: Nebo School District sincerely appreciates your support of Nebo School District and the opportunity to work together with you to provide an exceptional education for our students. We would appreciate your input on the Bond Survey before October 31. Please go to to begin the survey. Nebo School District is in the initial planning process for a Bond Election to be held next year on November 6, 2018. Bonding is the primary method school districts use to construct new schools and meet other facility priorities. Bond money cannot be used for salaries and benefits. Based on previous community feedback of wanting to move to the middle school model, Nebo School District plans to ask patrons to approve a $298 million dollar bond in November 2018. This tax-rate-neutral (no tax rate increase) bond will be used for: 1.   Building three new middle schools for students in sixth and seventh grade. These middle schools will be located within the boundaries of Salem Hills High, Springville High, and Maple Mountain High. As the new middle schools are completed, Mt. Nebo Junior High and Diamond Fork Junior High will become middle schools; 2.   Rebuilding Payson High, Spanish Fork High, and Springville High; and 3.    Making improvements to existing buildings and sites. It is estimated that approximately $10 million dollars of bond funds will be focused on upgrades and improvements. The Nebo School Board's decision on which projects to include will rely on public input and recommendations from parent committees. In accordance with state law, the Nebo School Board will finalize all plans prior to the 2018 Bond Election so the voting public will know the specific plans before voting. In the coming months, please continue to look for additional bond information at and in meetings held throughout Nebo School District. Again, Nebo School District sincerely appreciates your input and support of Nebo School District. Please go to to begin the survey.

Reflections Due - October 27th

Sierra Bonita Elementary News - Mon, 10/23/2017 - 11:02am

Our PTA is so excited for this Friday morning 8:30-9:00 am before school!  Reflections entries are due!

If at all possible, we encourage a parent a guardian to join your student when they turn their entries in so we can make sure then and there that we have the right forms and signatures filled out correctly.  This saves us time and it saves you from making an extra trip to the school.

Students will receive a small treat that morning for EACH entry they enter (they can enter up to one per category) AND the PTA sponsors this program so we can give out medals, ribbons, and/or certificates to each participant depending on the level of award they receive.  Our Reflections Honors Night will be November 14th at 7 pm and all students who enter are invited to come and celebrate their efforts with their families!

All students who receive PTA Reflections’ highest award will also be eligible to move on to the district level and beyond and receive more recognition depending on how far they go!

We love the Reflections program and we love to see our Sierra Bonita students’ imaginations come alive through art!

You can find information, forms, and rules at

Please call or text Amy van Dyk with any questions!  801-691-6931

We hope to see you and your student FRIDAY morning BEFORE school (8:30-9:00 am on the school stage)!
