This year at Larsen we're starting a new tradition! The PTA would like you to join your child for lunch to celebrate his/her birthday. There will be a birthday table set up & decorated, generally, every first Friday of the month, with some exceptions. (June, July and August birthdays will be celebrated throughout the year).  You can bring in your own lunch or pay in the cafeteria for school lunch.  It is $4.00 for an adult. If you plan on having school lunch please let the cafeteria know ahead of time so they will have enough food.  We will have two celebrations this month. August birthdays will be celebrated Friday, September 15th and September birthdays will be celebrated Friday, September 29th.  Then October birthdays on Friday, October 6th.  We hope you can join with us in celebrating your child!

The 4th grade classes at Riverview demonstrated their understanding of the scientific method with an egg drop.  The goal was to not let their egg crack after being dropped off the roof of the school.  Students built their own projects in hopes of keeping their egg safe.  Students took notes on the process of the scientific method. The students enjoyed watching their eggs fall from the roof to see if they would survive.

Mrs. Freeland's class has been learning about the 3 regions in Utah--The Great Basin Region, the Colorado Plateau Region and the Rocky Mountain Region.

The students were able to show their knowledge by making a region map of Utah using graham crackers, frosting, air heads, marshmallows and chocolate chips.  It made for a good and delicious review of Utah's Regions!
