We're Remodeling!

Goshen Elementary News - Fri, 03/30/2018 - 3:53pm

During spring break the remodel on Goshen School will begin.  Safety fences will be put up to protect students from the construction.  The main doors will no longer be available to enter the school.  After spring break students and patrons will enter the school through the doors by the first grade classrooms.   The front office will be located in computer lab 1.  There will be signs posted to show the way.

We are excited about the remodel. It will provide a safer entrance to our school, a much needed new roof, upgraded computer labs, teacher workroom and office area.  The remodel is scheduled to be completed by the first part of September.  We will post updates to the schedule on our Goshen website.

Barnett is an Energy Star School

Barnett Elementary News - Fri, 03/30/2018 - 1:08pm

Our school has earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ENERGY STAR® certification for superior energy performance!

ENERGY STAR Certified buildings and plants are verified to perform in the top 25 percent of buildings nationwide, based on weather-normalized source energy use that takes into account occupancy, hours of operation, and other key metrics. ENERGY STAR is the only energy efficiency certification in the United States that is based on actual, verified energy performance.

We’re honored to earn the ENERGY STAR for superior energy performance at Barnett and appreciate the efforts of everyone who has been involved in its efficient operation. Saving energy is just one of the ways we show our community we care, and that we’re committed to doing our part to protect the environment and public health, both today and for future generations.

On average, ENERGY STAR certified buildings and plants use 35 percent less energy, cause 35 percent fewer greenhouse gas emissions, and are less expensive to operate than their peers—all without sacrifices in performance or comfort.

Way to save energy Barnett Bulldogs!

Wow! These groups of students have worked so hard to make the play Alice in Wonderland a success, and I think they have done it! two different casts 2 different times to perform, and they blew it out of the water. Students at Sage Creek had the opportunity to see Alice in Wonderland on Wednesday. Thursday night was the night that parents and loved ones we able to see their blossoming actors and actresses take the stage. A huge shout out to Mr. Wright for making this play possible. Countless play practices, costumes to make, sleepless nights to make sure everything was perfect for these young students. Great job students, Hollywood is waiting for all of you!
