Miss Bird’s fifth grade class is working hard to learn the “magic” way to multiply.  In fourth grade the students learn different methods, like partial products and the open area model.  This year the students are learning the standard algorithm and practicing like crazy. These students struggled at first, because they were used to their fourth grade ways, but they picked it up quick and are doing amazing.

Mt Loafer Elementary News - Fri, 09/28/2018 - 11:00am

Hey Students! Do you have a talent you want to share with your grade level and even possibly our school?  As part of Red Ribbon Week (October 8-12), we are going to have a school wide talent show to go along with our theme of The Greatest Showman. Each grade level will have a talent show where students can share their talents on a volunteer basis. These shows will be done in the gym for each grade  on Tuesday, October 9th. Afterwards, two students from each grade level will participate in our school wide talent show on October 12th. Parents we wanted you to  know about this ASAP so you can help your child prepare if they want to participate. Teachers will send you grade level specific information next week. Questions can be asked to specific teachers and grade levels on how they will run their talent show! Thank you for helping us spotlight our talented students! We love our little grizzlies.
